The ICT curriculum support for schools offered by ITASS is part of a planned programme of professional development for staff to raise pupil achievement in ICT. This support is designed to develop staff confidence and competence in using ICT to enhance learning and teaching throughout the curriculum.
The ICT Curriculum Team provides ‘tailor made’ twilight sessions, support for staff meetings and INSET days for schools both in schools and in our training rooms at the Credon Centre.
Working closely with the schools support can be provided for class lessons and working with teachers in schools’ ICT suites as well as computers in the classroom to aid teaching and learning. ITASS is proud to offer this service to schools outside of Newham, and currently provide curriculum support to schools in neighbouring local authorities. ITASS’s Curriculum Advisors are available for consultation with headteachers, Senior Leadership Teams, Governors and ICT subject leaders , school staff and Governors for guidance on effective use of ICT and good practice.
