Early Years Foundation Stage

Welcome to our new ICT resources for the Early Years Foundation Stage. These resources can easily be differentiated for children in Nursery and Reception classes.

We have created materials that are linked to popular EYFS topics such as Bears, Ourselves and Supermarket role-play. These are also linked to suggestions of how to use specific ICT resources such as Digital Cameras, Interactive Whiteboards and Programmable Toys.

An overview of all the EYFS topic resources and how they can be used to support the six Areas of Learning can be downloaded by clicking here. This overview also includes detail of the specific ICT skills that children will be taught.

Find out more about about the new ITASS ICT Scheme of Work by visiting our What's New? page.
You can download presentation materials and a guide to the new Scheme of Work resources to help you launch the new Scheme of Work in your school.

Key to the implementation of the new materials is that ICT is taught as an integral part of your whole school curriculum and not seen as a discrete, skills based subject. To help with identifying the curricular context in which you can teach ICT, we have produced the Scheme of Work Overview document for you to download.

We have created a document that shows all the Learning objectives for each unit of work. This helps identify the progressive development of ICT capability across year groups and within units of work. It is particularly useful when you are identifying the cross-curricular opportunities in which to teach each unit. Click here to download the ICT Capability Progression Grid.
