Developing a vision for ICT
This is not as easy as it sounds. Deciding
on a statement that reflects the schools aims and how ICT can fit them can be tricky.
Below are a number of resources that you might find useful when developing your
school's vision for ICT.
ITASS Mission Statement:
By providing
quality support & advice we empower school communities to exploit the potential
that technology has to enhance all aspects of school life.

All technology in school is used to its fullest potential
by staff and pupils.

ICT is used to engage and value the contribution that Newham’s
diverse community makes to learning.
-
Using ICT, pupils are empowered to take ownership of their
learning.
-
Through the use of technology, schools provide a flexible
learning and teaching environment that meets the needs of all learners and contributes
to raising standards and pupil achievement.
“Technology is an essential and inescapable
part of 21stCentury living and learning. All aspects of school life are
enhanced and enabled with technology. Technology is crucial to making sure that
each individual maximises their potential through the personalisation of their learning
and development.” (Learning, Teaching and Managing with
