Admin Training
There are courses in the Spring and Summer Terms 2008 for the School Workforce
Census and the related area of recording staff
Absences in
SIMS Personnel 7, for all non-pilot schools. All schools will need to make their
first return by October 2009, ready for full implementation in January 2010.
ITASS will book schools on to these courses.
The final training course to move existing users of Attendance 6 to Attendance
7 takes place in the Spring Term 2008. ITASS will book schools on to
this course. Please contact Tamsyn Murray to book a place. Attendance 6 is no longer
supported from 1 January 2009.
All other courses are open to schools to book your own places.
These include courses
for new users of
Pupil Records, SEN, Personnel 7, FMS, Attendance 7, Assessment Manager, School Census,
Cover Management (secondary
schools) and
Dinner Money
(primary schools). There are also short courses in selected
areas of FMS.
All schools are reminded of the importance of having staff trained
adequately to do the FMS End of Year procedures.
The termly IMS User Group meeting for admin staff
in primary, nursery and special schools is on Tuesday 3 March 2009.
You are asked to book a place for this in the same way as for training courses,
so that we know numbers in advance.
The programme of training for Address Management is still not confirmed,
pending the resolution of software issues with Capita.
