The effective use of Information Management Systems is vital to the efficient management of schools. The Admin Advisors team at ITASS aims to provide quality support to schools using Capita SIMS, email, AVCO and MS Office software. The team was the first of the London boroughs to receive Capita accreditation for the support it provides, in 2003, and has just been reaccredited for a third successive time in 2008.

Attendance 7

Attendance 7 is now released and all schools have received training. Attendance 6 will no longer be supported from August 2009.

Remote Working

We are currently trialling a remote working solution for schools in partnership with Synetrix. Once the pilot phase is completed we will be ready to roll the solution out to schools.

School Census Summer 2009

The date for the summer School Census is 21st May 2009

School Census Autumn 2009

The date for the autumn 2009 School Census is 1st October 2009.

School Workforce Census Pilot

Newham’s pilot schools completed their first School Workforce Census in January 2009. The next return is due from pilot schools in May 2009. By October 2009 all Newham schools are required to complete a dummy SWC, with the first full return being undertaken in January 2010. All schools have been invited to training on SWC.

FMS End of Year

31st March is the last day of this financial year. ITASS is currently running FMS End of Year courses for both new and existing users, please ensure you book a place if you need help with end of year processes.

IMS User Group Meeting for Primary, Nursery and Special Schools
